On Wednesday May 29, 2013 was a national holiday called Democracy Day. The children did not have to go to school, because of the holiday, so we took a trip to the CHIPROM farm. All but the four youngest children went along on the trip. They were all excited to go to the farm and they enjoyed spending time there! They harvested, roasted and ate corn. Also they helped with harvesting vegetables, fed the animals and visited the turkey pen.
On Monday, May 27, 2013 was Children’s Day and a group from Beat FM Radio came to celebrate with the children. They brought lots of items to donate, as well as cake and hot chocolate for the children. We enjoyed a short visit and took pictures with them before they left.
On Sunday, May 26, 2013, the children were invited to a children’s party being run by Bowels of Mercy. It took place at the Children’s Amusement Park. The children had a lot of fun! Some of the ways they were entertained were through games, dancing, and face-painting for the younger ones.
A group of university students came to make breakfast for the children on Saturday, May 25, 2013. We thank them for providing the breakfast for the children! The students also helped with the sweeping and mopping around the house after breakfast. It was great to have them come. They enjoyed visiting with the children and took pictures with them.
Our organization and our children home in Nigeria has been hit hardest this year by low donations due to the economic turn-down in the country. Our food and fund supply is at its lowest in eight (8) years and is barely sustaining us. We are in need of the attached food supplies and items, including cash donations. As you will agree with me that quality care cannot be rendered when standards begin to be compromised. Since we are aware of how seriously many of our friends, supporters and donors take the plight of orphans and vulnerable children, we want to seek for your support. CHIPROM NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT AND HELP NOW!
I would like to thank you for considering this opportunity to partner with our organization for donating and for supplying us with our urgent needs. If you have any questions regarding our organization, our fund management policy, or this specific emergency fund and supply project , please feel free to contact us at any of our local or international addresses or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
