On May 17, 2013, we welcomed Beth, a volunteer from Canada, back to Nigeria. She was here for 3 weeks in November 2012 and decided to quit her job and come back for a year. Beth will be working closely with Funmi, the office manager. She will also be heading up the group of volunteers, planning the summer camp, teaching and training the children in discipline and social skills, doing photography and also providing educational assistance. Welcome back to CHIPROM Beth!!

On June 12, 2013, a group of students, teachers and parents from Toddly Tots came to visit CHIPROM. They sang some songs, prayed, and asked us questions. Our children sang the CHIPROM anthem and introduced themselves to our visitors. We had a great visit! We would like to thank Toddly Tots for their visit and generous donation!!!
On Monday, June 10, 2013, we welcomed some new volunteers to CHIPROM – Edina from Hungary, Moira from Italy and Thusal from Italy. They will be staying with us for the next few months. The children and staff gave them a warm welcome.
In honour of Children’s Day, The First Lady Her excellency, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi held an event to give items to various children’s homes. CHIPROM was invited to attend this event. Some of the items we received are rice, toilet tissue, detergent, and vegetable oil. We are thankful for these donations!
New Covenant Church – Akobo Estate Centre had a Children/Teens Week this past Sunday and invited CHIPROM to be part of their special day. We were asked to do a presentation in the service. For the presentation, six of our older girls sang some songs. They did very well! Also after the presentation of songs, the founder Mr. Dayo Idowu shared for a few minutes about CHIPROM. Another thing they had was a cake in honour of the children. They called up all the children to come up for the cutting of the cake. We had a great time and we thank New Covenant Church for including us in their special day!!
