As Christmas is approaching and you are buying gifts for your loved ones, would you please consider helping out with a need that will bless many children. We are in DESPERATE need of a new generator. Honestly the power situation here in Nigeria is terrible, a lot of the time the city doesn’t give us power and when they do it isn’t long enough to really fully charge our inverters. Also a good percentage of the time they give it is during the day, when we don’t really need it as much because there is the sunlight. We do have a couple small generators, but they don’t work as well as the big gen and don’t charge the inverters properly. Over time the small generators will destroy the inverters. Dayo has personally spent far too much money trying to fix the current big generator, and it’s blown again. We are wasting so much money on repairing this big generator all the time, but we NEED it. We need it for lights, for refrigerators and freezers, for pumping water, etc. It’s an issue that people don’t face abroad and is taken for granted, but here it’s reality. There have been times when we have no power and I will be cooking in the dark using a flashlight to see. There are times we have no water, because we have run out but don’t have the power to pump. So I’m asking you to try to imagine what it would be like to live in an environment where the power is so unreliable and you are trying to care for 20 plus children. Please would you consider this Christmas, spending a little less on gifts and helping make the lives of these children easier? We need $17,000 and have only around $7,000 so far.
